Likewise, First Woman also said very mean things to First Man. She was so upset and angry that she ran away. First Man was glad she left until it started getting dark, and he began to worry. He went looking for her, but she had been running fast through the woods crying.
The Creator saw what was happening and tried to slow her down so First Man could catch up. The Creator placed beautiful flowers in her path, but she didn’t look up. Then he placed full ripe fruit trees, and still she kept going. Finally, he placed something she’d never seen before. When First Woman saw the tiny white flowers and red fruit she had to stop to try one. Finally, First Man found First Woman and they were both so happy to see each other that they promised never to argue again. That is the origin of Strawberries.
It is said to always keep something with strawberries in your home to remind you of this story.
